The Iowa State Recreation Facility is a 220,000 square foot complex with unique features such as the only 8-lane, 300 meter track in the country, curved concrete stairway by the main entrance and a 120,000 square foot multi-purpose room.

With the project overbudget, Chris Hansen/McHan Construction and RDG Bussard Dikis were able to value engineer the project to reduce costs 10% without eliminating  one square foot or reducing any program functions.  Not only was the project completed within budget, but also two months ahead of schedule.

It is a facility of pride for Iowa State University, RDG Bussard Dikis, and Chris Hansen/McHan Construction, Inc.
